Dr Paul is amongst the very few Physiotherapists in India who is paprallel license in India and USA. He has over a decade of experience in treating complicated physiotherapy conditions. He has been trained under elite faculties in India and abroad. He has worked in Snehalaya Institute for Handicap, Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, Manager at EHPPRS, CEO of United Indian Physios.

HOW TO MANAGE STRESS

To have a happy and healthy life, a person should always remain stress free. Some simple tips can help a person to manage stress in their lives.

  • Always maintain a positive and optimistic attitude.
  • Be assertive than being aggressive.
  • Relaxation techniques such as meditation, yoga, or tai-chi for stress management should be practices regularly.
  • Exercise for at least 30 minutes every day. When your body is fit it will help to fight stress in a better and easy way.
  • Eat healthy meals.
  • Become skilled at time management.
  • Remove some time from your schedule for your hobbies and interests.
  • Have proper sleep and rest as the body requires time to overcome from stressful events.

  • Progressive Muscle Relaxation

    In this technique, as you tense a muscle group you have to breathe in and while relaxing those muscles breathe out. Progressive muscle relaxation is a technique that will help you to relax physically and mentally.

    1. Lay down on the floor comfortably.
    2. Take a few deep breaths to relax.
    3. Breathe in and simultaneously tense the muscles of your feet.
    4. Breathe out while releasing the tension in your feet.
    5. Breathe in and tense your calf muscles.
    6. Breathe out and release the tension in your calves.
    7. Similarly move up in your body. Tense each muscle group including your legs, belly, chest, fingers, arms, shoulders, neck, and face.
